National Junior Beta Club

The National Beta Club is an educational youth organization that inspires students in grades 4-12 to lead by serving others. The Junior Beta Club includes members in grades 4-5 for Division I and grades 6-8 for Division II. Senior Beta members are in grades 9-12. In all divisions, Beta members adhere to the mission and embrace its four pillars:

* promoting character,

* developing leadership skills,

* encouraging service involvement, and

* recognizing achievement.

Criteria for membership in the Beta Club: Students must display good character traits, leadership skills, be willing to serve others, and maintain an academic grade point average of 3.00 or above. Membership dues are $15.00 and paid only once for the division at Dresden Elementary School.

The Junior Beta Club at Dresden Elementary School tripled its membership during the 2015-2016 school year and, therefore, received a “National Beta School of Distinction” banner that is proudly displayed in the front lobby of our school.

We look forward to welcoming new members during this school year! If you have questions, please contact our sponsors: Debra Mines, Writing Coach; Phyllis Smith, Librarian; and Bernadette Pascal, 4th Grade Teacher.
